Local elections 2018 – When are the results expected?

More than 4,000 local Council seats are up for election on 3 May 2018. Most eyes will be on London where there are all out elections and Labour is optimistic about making further gains.  There are also elections in councils across England.

Most Councils are expected to start counting shortly after ballots close at 10pm although some Councils are not starting until the following day and the results will not be known until late on Friday afternoon.
