Forty Shillings scoops top prize at PRCA Public Affairs Awards

Forty Shillings won first prize for Local Government Planning Campaign of the Year at the PRCA Public Affairs Awards last night.

The award recognised Forty Shillings’ integrated engagement approach, combining innovative opinion research and digital services with high profile consultation activities to positively engage with a wider audience and identify and mobilise public support. The winning campaign was for a town centre regeneration project in Dartford – westgatedartford.com – that reached over 40,000 people and received feedback from over 600 respondents, of which a large majority supported the development.

Wyn Evans, founder and Managing Director of Forty Shillings, said:

“We are delighted to be recognised by the PRCA and this award reflects the strength and breadth of our team’s expertise and the innovative and integrated communications tools we offer.

“Public attitudes towards development are changing rapidly. More and more people support new homes and development in their communities, yet traditional consultation methods only engage NIMBY audiences. Through opinion research and digital communications, we are reaching a wider audience and increasingly people that support new homes and regeneration are engaging with us through our platforms.”

Forty Shillings is a full-service integrated and strategic communications agency working exclusively in the property and planning sector. It works on high profile and politically sensitive developments and regeneration projects, managing relationships with political, media and community audiences.
