Exciting plans at Biggin Hill Airport for boutique hotel

As part of Biggin Hill Airport’s ongoing evolution, a new boutique hotel is being proposed at the airport. With flight crews often arriving at the airport and staying for a short period of time, usually without the means of onward travel, a dedicated hotel is an expected service on-site.

Will Curtis, Managing Director of Biggin Hill Airport said:

“We secured planning permission in 2009 for a larger hotel on the airport site. However, we never identified a suitable operator for it. As such, we are now proposing a new, slightly smaller hotel of around 50-beds, which would be run by the airport.

“This will better fit our site and will be run by the airport. The hotel facilities will also include a small restaurant, lounge and gymnasium, which will all contribute to providing more employment opportunities locally.”
